Volunteer

Baltimore Heritage relies on an active and dedicated group of volunteers to conduct most of its activities. Volunteers work primarily with three Baltimore Heritage Committees that undertake the following:

Education Committee

Organize and participate in springtime guided walking tours of Baltimore’s neighborhoods and plan for lectures and other special events.

Preservation Planning Committee

Work with other preservationists, developers, and City officials to craft preservation-based solutions for critical and threatened heritage resources.

Neighborhoods Committee

Organize technical assistance workshops on rehabilitation tax credits and other preservation and revitalization incentives. Participate in the Baltimore City Historic Forum, a collaboration of representatives from the City’s historic neighborhoods who meet to discuss preservation issues and events.
